Some of our work focuses on making a change outside the policy relm. Here are a few stories of how we help non-profits and businesses make their mark.
Satire to Expose Consumerism
Sometimes, you do want to go viral. Satire can be a great way to grab attention of the masses. Between all the places it was re-posted, VideoJug film The Top 5 Laziest Inventions got over 1,000,000 views.
Promotion to Combat “Clean Coal”
Policy change often comes from the grassroots, and that starts with helping citizens see through the fog of false information.
This one attacked the “clean coal” myth from a new angle — even if coal burning could become clean, is there enough coal left to even bother? Made for the Post Carbon Institute to promote Richard Heinberg’s book, BLACKOUT.
Organizing through Education
For the 2008 election, we wanted to get out the vote, but people with no previous involvement in politics have little guidance as to where to start. How To Choose A Political Party was also made at VideoJug, along with a series of other political films, including Speed Date the Candidate.
Apart from publicity films and encouraging people to work toward creating a healthier planet, we make films geared toward making policy change. Let us know what your vision is, and we’ll work together to make it happen.
